OEPCP Partners and Stakeholders Breakfast June 2019

On June 13 we held our Partner and Stakeholder Breakfast at beautiful Rosebank North in North Ringwood.

Forty representatives from 25 organisations joined us early in the morning which started with an all important espresso! The morning kicked off with newly appointed Chair Sue Seston welcoming everyone and opening the event.

Mark Chenery from Common Cause Australia then presented a new way of thinking; introducing us to the world of values frames, helping us to understand values in a way that can revolutionize how we develop and present health messages and programs.

Emma Martin from Thriving Communities Partnership (TCP) spoke next telling us about the amazing partnership hosted by Yarra Valley Water. With over 150 partners TCP is committed to ensuring everybody has fair access to the modern essential services.

Jacky then guided everyone through a group exercise using a very simple version of the Ten Seed (or in our case Stones) Technique. Fantastic to see that very little negotiation was required for tables to come to agreement about the most important values for strong partnerships.

For your diary:

Don’t forget Mark will be coming back to the East on 10 September to run a half day workshop on using values and frames to motivate change.

We’ll make sure everyone invited to the Breakfast is kept up to date on this exciting opportunity.
