Breaking the ice with…. Kelly Hinton from RFVP

Welcome Kelly! Thank you for taking the time to let us get to know you.

What is rocking your work world today?
The most significant reforms for women and children living with family violence…maybe ever! Incredible changes are happening, in an environment with so much momentum it is hard to keep up!

What are you most excited about in your job this year?
In our recent strategy, the Regional Family Violence Partnership committed to 4 things – honouring the experience of women and children, trying new and different ways of working, living the change we want to see and working alongside and advocating to government. I am super excited about supporting the RFVP to take these on, in a meaningful and real way, in all of our work.

Where would you like to see your work go? What are your ambitions?
The best career decisions I have ever made were not at all planned, but took advantage of opportunities that arose and felt right. So I think I will keep doing that!

What do you want to be known for professionally?
Integrity, passion and challenging the status quo.

In your job, what is something you are proud of?
The fabulous team I work in.

Who inspires you?
People who stand up for what they believe in, no matter what the cost to themselves.

What are 3 things on your bucket list?
Finish my law degree.  Live and work overseas. Take flying trapeze lessons.
